What is OXCement?
OXCement is a flexible geotextile fabric impregnated with a proprietary dry cementitious compound. When hydrated (simply by spraying or immersing in water), the fabric cures to form a thin, durable, rigid, impermeable concrete-like layer that conforms to any surface shape. The material features self-healing micro-crack technology — small cracks that form from ground movement or impact automatically seal through continued hydration of unreacted cement particles within the matrix.
Key Applications
- Slope Stabilization & Erosion Control — Highway cuttings, embankments, reservoir banks, coastal protection, landscaping terraces
- Channel & Ditch Lining — Irrigation channels, drainage ditches, stormwater culverts, roadside swales
- Mining & Industrial Containment — Tailings dam liners, heap leach pads, bund walls, secondary containment for fuel/chemical storage
- Military Rapid Deployment — Hardened shelters, command posts, ammunition bunkers, vehicle revetments — deployed and cured in hours
- Disaster Relief & Humanitarian — Emergency shelters, flood barriers, refugee camp infrastructure, temporary medical facilities
- Pipeline & Cable Bedding — Trench lining, pipe protection, cable duct protection
- Pond & Reservoir Lining — Agricultural ponds, fish farms, water storage, wastewater lagoons
- Road & Airfield Repair — Rapid patching of damaged roads, temporary runway surfaces, helicopter landing pads
Advantages Over Poured Concrete
- No mixing equipment needed — Just water. No concrete trucks, no batching plants
- Deploys in minutes — Roll out, shape, hydrate. Cures in hours, not days
- Conforms to any surface — Drapes over irregular terrain, slopes, and complex shapes
- Self-healing — Micro-cracks seal automatically through continued hydration
- Lightweight transport — Dry rolls ship at a fraction of poured concrete weight
- Minimal labor — 2-3 workers can deploy hundreds of square meters per day
